As a result of the negotiations between the Ministry of Industry and Technology and ASFED for one and a half years, the "elevator" was included in the strategic sector. With this position, the elevator industry will be able to benefit from the supports provided within the scope of the "Technology Oriented Industry Move", which is provided by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. ASFED announced the necessary details for our sector companies to benefit from the related supports with a press release. The paper contains the following statements:

"As ASFED, we have been trying to explain the strategic importance of the elevator industry for our country since the day we were founded, at all state levels, especially our Ministry of Industry and Trade, and to create public opinion in order for the sector to become well deserved.

We started to see the results of our efforts nowadays. The elevator was accepted as the "Priority Product" and the elevator investments were taken to the status of "Strategic Investment".

Principles regarding the "Technology Oriented Industry Mobility Program" aimed at the production of high value-added products with local facilities and capabilities by our Ministry of Industry and Technology, aiming to permanently reduce the current deficit and reduce the rate of imported intermediate goods in our industry, and to have a stronger export basket. 18 September 2019 It was put into force by being published in the Official Gazette dated.

Within the scope of the program, eight sectors consisting of machinery, computers, electronics, optics, electrical equipment, pharmacy, chemistry and transportation vehicles were determined as the focus sector at medium-high and high technology levels. Of these sectors to be promoted specifically, the incentive application for the machinery sector was first launched and the “priority products” to be promoted were published in the Official Gazette dated September 18, 2019. There are also elevators in the list where 54 products are determined as the primary product under the heading of the machinery sector. The priority is to find elevators in the list of products, to benefit from special incentives besides all the incentives we have seen so far; it means having the state with us to become a worldwide player.

Being listed in the “priority product list”, which is a preferred list of high-tech products such as industrial robots, sensors, CNC machines, air conditioners, is the pride of the elevator industry, above all, for the elevator industry. Our Ministry of Industry and Technology and the state saw the strategic importance of the elevator industry, and won the achievement medal of its struggle for forty years.

Applications within the scope of the "Technology Oriented Industry Move Program" will be made electronically via the Program Portal application located at https://www.hamle.gov.tr.

Within the scope of the program, “Strategic Investment Incentive Certificate” with an investment of at least 10 million TL and “Project Based Investment Incentive Certificate” with an investment of at least 50 million TL can be obtained.

These are the “elevator” investments determined as the primary product within the scope of the Technology Oriented Industry Move Program. Investments only for elevator parts and parts production will not be evaluated within this scope. During the meetings with the Ministry of Industry and Technology, it was understood that within the scope of this program, “Local Global Elevator Brands”, which produce elevator parts and components under one roof and brand, do elevator assembly and maintain elevator, work with the business model that global brands work, will be included in the scope of support.

In the light of all this information, we would like to remind all our member associations and our member companies through the extraordinary and historical opportunity brought to our industry by the "Technology Oriented Industry Move Program", whose deadline is 22 November 2019.

We wish the "Priority Product" and "Strategic Investment" status, which is a historical turning point for the elevator industry, to be beneficial. "
