In a statement made by the Ministry of Industry and Technology; It has been stated that elevators, which are of vital importance in the fight against Covid-19 new type corona virus, should be able to function properly.

The statement includes the following; "Today, the need and use of elevators have increased rapidly in cities with tall buildings, and the installation of elevators in these buildings has been made compulsory by national zoning legislation. Along with the increase in the number of elevators and daily use in parallel with the construction, the technical requirements that make up the elevator and compliance with the basic health and safety requirements have gained great importance, which brings with it the necessity to be more sensitive in the maintenance and periodic controls of the elevators. However, it is an inevitable fact that human life and property losses occur as a result of accidents that will occur in elevators used without having monthly maintenance and periodic checks for the required safe usage conditions."
