Moroccan elevator industry grows 4.1 percent each year

In Morocco, where new elevators are allocated between 30 and 35 thousand annually, an annual growth of 4.1 percent is envisaged by 2025. On the other hand, local businesses undertake most of the installation and maintenance activities in the elevator market, the value of which is estimated at 120 million dirhams.

Morocco's elevator and escalator market demand will increase in commercial and industrial areas. While the country's economy is expected to be directed mainly to the dynamic production and services sector in the coming years, it is anticipated that this move will also have a positive impact on the elevator industry.

Also, with the government's greater focus on the tourism sector and the implementation of new plans for the development of the industry sector, such as the Industry Acceleration Plan (PAI), the demand for new elevators and escalators in these areas will increase.
The annual growth rate of Morocco's elevator and escalator market will be 4.1% in 2019-2025. Large-scale projects such as expansion projects of Nador International Airport and Rabat-Salé Airport, increased entertainment and accommodation projects, Jorf Lasfar LNG Terminal and Rabat Hilton Hotel will lead to more demands for the installation of new elevators and escalators in the country.
In addition, housing construction in Morocco has become one of the largest markets in the construction industry in recent years, and demand for elevators and escalators in residential projects has increased further.
