Registration for interlift 2021 has Opened

The organizers of interlift 2021, which will be held in Augsburg, Germany, on October 19-22, 2021, issued a press release on April 27 emphasizing that the lift industry relies on the trade show.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected the whole world and paralyzed the world economy and daily life, the lift industry has shown how much it counts on its leading international trade fair, which could become more important than ever in these times. The organizers announced that attendance documents have been sent out to prospective exhibitors, and 100 or so registrations for interlift were received by the project management team within five weeks.

The last event, which was held on October 15-18, 2019, was the most successful interlift since its premiére in 1991. The expo, which is a safe bet for the majority of lift companies from all over the world, set several new records; within an occupied space of 46,500 m2 , 577 exhibitors from 44 countries, and 21,260 trade visitors from 109 countries, were in attendance. The event helped exhibitors to make contacts with the industry’s top international decision-makers, forge new connections, and even conclude concrete deals on the spot. As determined by the Gelszus trade fair market research company, about 55% of interlift 2019’s guests came from abroad. The proportion of decisionmakers among them was again exceptionally high: 88% of visitors were involved in investment decisions, 38% even pivotally. Their assessment of the interlift was correspondingly high: 92% of trade visitors were pleased, saying they had a very good to satisfactory business result. The research company also reported that the assessments of the exhibitors about interlift were extremely positive, with 92% of the companies saying they were satisfied with the results. The survey of exhibitors taken by Gelszus revealed a positive picture: 57% of the companies rated the business outcome of their participation in the fair with the marks 1 and 2; 31% gave it a 3; and “excellent” to “satisfactory” post-fair business was expected by 92% of companies.

In the press release, organizers reminded that the attendance documentation was sent out at the end of February, but can also be downloaded at www.interlift.de/en. It was emphasized that the layout planning for the exhibition hall will be worked out by the project management team in August 2020, so companies should submit their registration forms as early as possible, so their position requests can be taken into account.

Over the past couple of years, project manager Joachim Kalsdorf from interlift organizer AFAG, together with representatives from the technical sponsor, VFA-Interlift e.V., have travelled around the world to promote interlift at all relevant lift fairs. Although such visits are not possible now, due to the outbreak of virus, three representatives — Hanan Wang (China), Angela Vinci (Southern Europe) and Bülent Yilmaz (Turkey, Middle East) — are still in contact with the companies. The exhibitors may also get in contact with the interlift team of Joachim Kalsdorf, Sandra Geissler and Winfried Forster at any time.
